Charting Our Future
This year’s fundraising goal for Cena de la Mariposa is $400,000. In order to achieve our mission and serve our preschoolers, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. All proceeds will allow Mi Escuelita to grow to serve more students in more locations, as well as cover the tuition gap for families living at or below the poverty level.
Mi Escuelita’s program alleviates the need for higher cost bilingual education and enables children to avoid remedial English education, thus helping to lower their chances of dropping out of school in later years. In 2016, 90% of our graduating children qualified to transition directly to English-speaking classrooms. This wouldn’t be possible without the gifts from our incredible supportive community.
What Can You Do To Help
There are many ways to help Mi Escuelita to achieve it’s educational goals. Becoming a sponsor of our annual dinner is the easiest and most effective way to accomplish this. Even if you can’t sponsor the event, there are other ways to help such as purchasing a table at our event or donating an auction item.
