The goal of Mi Escuelita Preschool is to:

1. Prepare our children for academic success
2. Teach English to children of all cultures
3. To become independent & take care of key needs

The Mi Escuelita curriculum includes:

1. Introduction to science and math concepts
2. Pre-writing skills
3. Pre-literacy skills
4. Physical activities
5. Small group activities to meet individual needs
6. Hands on activities for maximum learning
7. Music & movement
8. Enhancing social skills
9. Ongoing assessment to measure growth and development

OTHER INFORMATION:

The Mi Escuelita Preschool program enrolls 18 children in each classroom

Two teachers per classroom, making our student teacher ratio is 9:1.

A Site Manager oversees and ensures the smooth functions of the overall center program.

The teaching staff plans and provides classroom experiences, outdoor experiences and field trips, which help children, develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually.

Nutritional meals and snacks are catered and a janitor cares for the maintenance needs of the center.

Support service staff members in education, health, nutrition, social services/parenting involvement, special services/mental health, and community development services work with the site manager and center staff to ensure that all children and families receive the services they need.

The following documents are necessary to successfully enroll your child in Head Start.

1. Copy of the child’s current physical examination
2. Copy of current immunization
3. Dental check results
4. Lead check results
5. Documents verifying parents income- since the tuition is sliding scale based on income
6. Copy of birth certificate
